The brushes in this series have become distinct individuals to me. Each one is an extension of someone's hand, encapsulating the wear and tear of countless projects alongside the meticulous care its owner provided over the years to preserve a favored tool. Much like how we gather scars and patinas throughout our lives, sometimes outliving our usefulness, there can be a memory and soul in any tool.
